Killary Lodge can accommodate up to 36 guests across 10 en-suite bedrooms, with additional pull-out beds used to increase overall capacity. We can advise on the most suitable layout based on your group size and the type of stay you are planning.
Yes. All group bookings operate on an exclusive hire basis, meaning your group has private use of the entire lodge, dining areas, event space and outdoor grounds overlooking Killary Harbour.
Yes. The lodge is frequently booked for milestone birthdays, reunion weekends and private celebration stays. Large communal dining space, a fully equipped kitchen, fire pit and covered BBQ area, sauna and sea swimming access make it ideal for social group gatherings in Connemara.
Yes. Killary Lodge is suitable for hen parties seeking a private and experience-led weekend along the Wild Atlantic Way. Groups can combine catering, outdoor activities and scenic surroundings for a memorable celebration. As the lodge is located in a rural setting, all guests are required to follow house guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful stay.
The lodge is located on the southern shores of Killary Harbour, approximately 5km from Leenane, Co. Galway, along the N59 on the Wild Atlantic Way. Galway City is around 1.5 hours away and Westport is approximately 40 minutes by car. Private transfers can be arranged on request.
Yes. Fibre broadband internet is available throughout the lodge, providing strong and reliable connectivity during your stay.
Yes. Catering services, including menus from The Misunderstood Heron, can be arranged. This makes the lodge suitable for celebration dinners, private events and structured group weekends.
There is no dedicated EV charging point on site. Guests may charge an electric vehicle using a standard domestic socket for a fee of €30 per charge. Guests must bring their own cables and inform the team in advance.
A 30% booking deposit is required to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Payments are non-refundable in line with the Booking Terms & Conditions.
Yes. A €2,000 security deposit is pre-authorised prior to arrival. After departure, the lodge is checked and cleaned. If everything is in order, the authorisation is released within 48 hours.
Minimum stays vary depending on the season:
- July & August: 7 nights
- Easter, Christmas & New Year: 4 nights
- June, September & Bank Holiday weekends: 3 nights
At other times, a 2-night minimum stay applies. One-night stays are not available
