Killary Lodge features 10 large en-suite bedrooms, including double, twin and family rooms, individually designed for privacy and comfort. Share meals in the stylish kitchen and dining area, catch up and chat in the cosy living spaces.
Step outside to the spacious garden with a covered BBQ and seating area, outdoor dining area, and two fire pits perfect for magical sunsets and starlit evenings.
For larger groups, extra accommodation is available at The Otter Hostel, just a few minutes’ walk away.

Event space
The versatile, light-filled event space with large windows showcasing the stunning Connemara landscape has a flexible, open layout that can be tailored to your needs.
This room opens out onto the garden outdoor space on both sides. It can be set up as a dining room, dance floor or theatre-style with a projector and screen.
Small weddings
The Killary Lodge is a beautiful, intimate wedding venue for couples who are looking for something a little different for their wedding.
While we do not offer a wedding planning service, we provide the fabulous venue allowing you to organise the wedding of your dreams.

Led by husband & wife team Kim Young & Reinaldo Seco, the Misunderstood Heron brings seasonal menus built around locally sourced produce from the sea, land, and community of Connemara.
A range of catering options is available – from fully catered and staffed dinner service to self-service buffets – showcasing wholesome classics and creative, global-inspired dishes with a twist, all served in a relaxed and informal style.

Yes. Killary Lodge is well suited to DIY weddings, milestone birthdays and private celebrations. As an exclusive-use venue, it allows couples and organisers to design their own event while enjoying a scenic fjordside setting in Connemara.
Killary Lodge is not a hotel. It is an exclusive-use rental property, meaning your group hires the entire lodge privately for the duration of your stay. Event organisation and coordination are managed by the booking group.
The maximum total event capacity on site is 50 persons, subject to agreement. The lodge itself can accommodate up to 36 overnight guests across 10 en-suite bedrooms. Additional accommodation options are available on site with the Otter Hostel, and locally in Leenane village if required.
Yes. Live bands and amplified music are permitted. Outdoor music must conclude by 10pm, in line with local guidelines. After 10pm, music may continue indoors within the lodge.
Killary Lodge is located on the southern shores of Killary Harbour, approximately 5km from Leenane, Co. Galway, along the Wild Atlantic Way. The 180-acre property overlooks Killary Fjord and is surrounded by mountain and woodland scenery.
