Summer Camps

Yes, there is 24-hour supervision for all children attending our summer camps. There are night duty instructors and duty supervisors who will be in the corridors at night making sure the kids are alright. These instructors will be able to contact you, or let your child contact you during the night if there are any issues. There are CCTV cameras throughout communal areas of the Killary Adventure Centre building. Find out more about our Supervision & Safety

Children on summer camps share 6 bed en-suite dorms with other children of the same gender and age. Double or singe rooms are not available for summer camps.

If your child is coming with a friend, you can ask for them to share and we will arrange it where possible. If you child is coming as part of a group, they will usually be able to share with at least one friend. We will do our best to put friends in the same room, but this is not always possible due to limited beds and group numbers.

For residential summer camps, all bed linen is provided. They will need to bring towels and toiletries. For Camping Expedition Summer Camps sleeping bags are required.

Read our What to Bring checklist for more information. We provide all safety equipment and gear required for activities. We recommend that children do not bring any valuables with them. Children are responsible for keeping their own possessions safe and must make sure to take everything with them on departure. We recommend that each child brings a list of their possessions to help with this.

Breakfast includes cereal, porridge, toast, fruit, juice and yogurts. For lunch we have a sandwich bar for children to make their own sandwiches from a selection of fillings, as well as homemade soup, fruit and biscuits. Dinner includes a delicious, homecooked, hearty main course with a salad bar, followed by homemade dessert. Tea and biscuits are served after evening games. There is also a tuck shop on site so no-one will go hungry!

Vegetarian, vegan and special diets can be catered for, but you will need to book in advance of arrival.

Our Mobile Phone Policy is designed to give kids a break from technology. Phones/tablets are safely stored by our staff and returned for use between 5.45pm and 7pm every evening. Mobile phones can only be brought to activity sessions if they are used as medical device or for other essential reasons which must be agreed in advance.

Our Mobile Phone Policy gives children phone time between 5.45pm and 7pm each evening. This is usually the best time to contact them. However, you can call our office on 095 43411 at any time and children always have access to our phone if they need to contact you.

Unfortunately, we cannot return items left behind. Anything left behind will be recycled, donated to local charities or disposed of on the day of departure.
