Gaisce Award Provider
We are recognised Gaisce teaching establishment and are ideally located to facilitate the Adventure Journey Walking Section of the Award.
The Gaisce Award is a really valuable exercise requiring preparation, commitment and determination from the students. Student involvement in the organisation of the trip is encouraged. Our Gaisce co-ordinator will be happy to advise on preparation and requirements.
The following commitment is required of the group before attempting the walking section of the award:
- A basic level of fitness.
- A willingness to get into the spirit of the adventure and to complete the challenge.
- A willingness to commit to preparing for the trip.
- The correct equipment to ensure the challenge can be completed safely.
