FAQs
What ages are activities suitable for?
The minimum age for a child to participate in activities is 8 years old. For children aged 8 to 10 we recommend having a parent or adult nearby, or doing activities with them to help and encourage, if needed. Some activities are only suitable for older children due to the nature of the challenge involved or size/strength required. Children of all ages are welcome to stay in our accommodation.
Are there any activities for smaller children?
Unfortunately, we do not have activities on-site for children under 8. There are lots of activities in the locality to suit the smaller ones and our staff will be glad to advise. Find out more about our local area.
Do I need to wait with my kids while they do their activities?
Our Family Activity programmes are usually scheduled so you can do activities together as a family. If only your children are taking part in activities, in most situations you will not need to wait at the activity site, as the children will be fully supervised by our instructors. Spectators are always welcome of course.
Will we be sharing activities with other families?
You may be mixed with other family groups for some activities.
What meals are included?
Depending on your package, breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. We serve a set family menu daily in our dining room. You can also add extra meals to your package. However, all meals must be pre-booked at reception.
Do you cater for vegetarian/vegan/special diets?
Vegetarian, vegan and special diets can be catered for, but you will need to book in advance of arrival.
Can we cook our own meals?
This is a fully catered centre, there are no self-catering facilities available. If you are a large family group looking for a luxury self-catering option, check out The Killary Lodge.
Will we be sharing dorms with other families?
No, your family dorm will be private to your family only. All dorms are en-suite. Families are accommodated in 4 and 6-bed dorm rooms. If requested, we will try and put adults into a double room and children into dorm rooms, but this is not always possible.
Do you have cots/highchairs available?
We have a travel cot and highchairs available on-site. Please let us know in advance if you need one.
Can we add extra activities to our package?
Yes, you can book extra activities in advance through our online booking system or call us on 095 43411. You can also add activities during your stay, but availability of activities cannot be guaranteed.
