Taking place from October 3rd to 5th, 2025, this Irish Surfski Championship weekend will bring together surfski and sea kayak paddlers of all levels for an event on Ireland’s west coast.
Hosted at our newly renovated Otter Hostel in the shores of the fjord, this weekend event includes:
- Saturday, October 4th: Open-Water Race from Renvyle Beach on the stunning Killary Fjord
- Meals Included: Lunches and a dinner with fellow paddlers
- Evening Social: Laid-back gathering and plenty of time to share stories and meet paddlers of all levels from around Ireland.
Last year’s event featured boat trials, gear demos, and informal paddle sessions and this year promises more of the same with the full itinerary to be announced soon.
Choose from Saturday-only race entries or weekend packages with shared accommodation, meals, and an evening event included. Whether you’re racing hard or just here for some fun, it’s a weekend not to miss on Ireland’s paddling calendar.
Important Note: This event is for paddlers with their own gear. We do not currently offer surfski rentals. If you’re interested but need help sourcing a surfski, please get in touch at shane@killary.com
